Part 1.
Man, I didn’t get to catch this on TV (aka… I didn’t want to give Fox News any extra boost in ratings). Thanks to the internet though, we get to see Jon Stewart and Bill O’Reilly square off on this whole Common/White House fuckery.

Frank Ocean’s Nostalgia, Ultra Album (Audio)

In Music on May 14, 2011 at 5:06 pm

If it seems like too much Odd Future in one place or whatever, we understand, but also know that this is different. It is a straight up R&B album, and while there are a couple uneven moments, the highs (“Swim Good,” “Song For Women,” “We All Try,” “Dust”) are really high. If you want to further the Tyler/Odd Future/Neptunes comparisons (we won’t blame you if you don’t), Frank Ocean would probably be the crew’s less open- hearted Kenna—a more cynical, but still simultaneously wide-eyed version.

Amber Rose On Cover Of King Magazine

In Lifestyle on May 14, 2011 at 4:53 pm

Today we have images of modern-day bombshell Amber Rose from the cover of King magazine. Inside she chats about her new love, Wiz Khalifa, and how he compares to Kanye. She says,

“You know when people say how do you go from Kanye to Wiz Khalifa, that’s a downgrade. But the only question I can ask them is: have you ever dated Kanye? Because I have, and believe me, I did not downgrade at all. Not in any aspect, at all.”

Tory Burch ‘Tarlen’ Rope Wedges

In Fashion on May 14, 2011 at 4:41 pm

A lot of labels are beginning to deliver their summer collections, with Tory Burch previewing hers in a Summer lookbook. A lot of what Burch designs can be described as Upper East Side Bohemia (which we don’t view as a bad thing–au contraire!) though she does turn that formula on its head sometimes, drops the airs and goes for straight fierceness, case in point these “Tarlen” rope wedges we spotted in the lookbook…love the red wedge against the thick ropes tipped with shiney, gold aglets.
